Make Your Mark

I met Peter and his wife Jody before ballet on Thursday night at one of their favorite haunts in NYC. Even before we ordered it was obvious that Peter had personality, panache if you will. He chatted easily with the waiter, whom he knew by name, and entertained the table next to us by ending the debate over what looked most delicious on the menu: he had a presence that was likely to linger.

Peter is an entrepreneur; he looks at the world as a large opportunity, “an entrepreneur’s life is about creating value,” he said. With the money he’s made he has created a lifestyle in which he loves living, but there is a next step. “It’s not just about creating value for me, but about creating value for generations to come.”

Thought: Sometimes the measure of success is not about how they live, instead, it is deliberated by how they will change the lives of others.
